Once considered an alternative to traditional fossil fuel power projects, renewable energy is now considered to be mainstream. Canadian Hydro harnesses clean energy produced from water and wind in a simple manner, resulting in power plants that generate sound, predictable returns for investors for decades to come.

Publicly listed since 1990, Canadian Hydro has built or acquired twenty green power plants. Wind-generated electricity accounts for seven sites, hydroelectric power twelve sites and one biomass plant.

 

J. Ross Keating, P.Eng - President and Chief Operating Officer An electrical engineer with more than 20 years experience in design and construction, Ross Keating is also a founding shareholder and director. Ross brings a wealth of hydroelectric design and construction expertise to Canadian Hydro.

John D. Keating, C.A. - Chief Executive Officer A founding shareholder, director and Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years financial experience, John Keating is also a founding director of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta (IPPSA), and has been an active participant in the Clean Air Renewable Energy Coalition and other organizations that lobby governments on renewable energy initiatives.

Kent E. Brown , CA - Chief Financial Officer CFO since June 2001, Kent Brown graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in philosophy and Political Science (1993) and is a Chartered Accountant (1998). As a member of the executive team, he contributed to the development and execution of the strategic plan that lead to over 130 megawatts of projects built or under construction and over 790 MW of projects currently under development. Kent also played a key role in the restructuring and raising of $185 million of debt and $74 million of equity.

M. Ann Hughes, LLB - Executive Vice President A member of Canadian Hydro's executive team since 1991, Ann Hughes has contributed to the development and execution of the company's strategic and human resources plans. Ann Hughes has provided legal services to the company since 1989 as a consultant. She is now responsible for all areas of corporate, commercial and securities law for the company. She was admitted to the Bar of Manitoba in 1977 and the Bar of Alberta in 1980.
